Trader Joe’s had some beautiful strawberries, so even though it’s early April, I couldn’t resist. They’re so ripe, they’re red inside. I used about half of them on a tart. (Shouldn’t I be making something other than pie? Maybe sticky toffee pudding will be next.)

I was worried that the chocolate wouldn’t look very nice with the pink shells, but I think they look okay. They certainly look nicer at this photo than they do in person because from this angle you can’t tell that they’re not round.
